What Makes A Stylish Hotel

Running your own hotel can be a daunting experience, especially if you’re new to the business. If you’ve just moved into a new hotel however or you’re refurbishing your premises, you have a perfect opportunity to start as you mean to go on.One of the best ways to get business is to make your hotel stand out from the crowd and offer an excellent experience along with great service. A good way to achieve this is by having some very comfy hotel furniture and a great choice of decor.

Boutique hotels are so popular as their focus is predominately on the décor and the whole atmosphere of the hotel and this encourages people to enjoy and remember their stay.
Your hotel needs to have the right look so choosing a theme is a good ideaIf you have a large hotel then a single interesting theme would be easier, if your running a small exclusive hotel you may well be able to afford to have a different theme for each room.Set yourself apart from the competition by choosing something unusual. For example if there a lot of traditional country houses in the area, try doing something more modern and stylish to attract a different audience which is not  yet catered for

You can start to look for your furniture once you have chosen your theme If your wanting a substantial amount of furniture then it might be an idea to go to a wholesaler or as an alternative you could  go to a local auction house.
You can view the furniture via websites and warehouses as most of these companies have them. As an example, check they are a member of the bfm (british furniture manufacturer’s association and make sure they are a reputable company before you buy Find out their servicing and repairs policy, and also their payment policy. Ensure you know about their servicing, repairs and their payment policies. Some manufacturers will allow you to work out a payment plan over time.

In choosing your furniture you need to stick to your theme but also ensure your furniture is comfortable and practical. For example, a chair may be nice to look at but horribly uncomfortable to sit in!Plan your furniture accordingly for example bedroom furniture should be more comfortable than that used in the restaurant Any chairs and tables you use in your bar should be wipe-clean as these areas are more prone to spillages.

Customising your furniture with either your own choice of fabrics or that of the manufacturer’s could be a good idea many contract furniture suppliers allow you to do this. You can save money by choosing a specific furniture set and customising how it looks – If any breakages occur it is easier to replace. Using different fabrics for different areas of your hotel can create a unique atmosphere – easy-clean fabrics in the bar, soft plush fabrics in the reception area for example.

Lastly think about the spaces the furniture will fill. Avoid buying big or bulky furniture but ensure it will it is sturdy enough to withstand all the use it will endure with your many customers
